The meeting, for tech companies that contract or want to contract with the city, will discuss Chief Innovation Officer Adel Ebeid's vision for city IT and the new technologies the city aims to embrace, said Civic Technology Director Tim Wisniewski. Think APIs, cloud hosting, software as a service.

It’ll also be a good opportunity for small firms to network with bigger firms, Wisniewski said. Often, small and large firms work together on city contracts.
