Firaxis Games is hiring a user interface designer.

Firaxis Games, the Hunt Valley game studio behind the celebrated Civilization and XCOM series, is currently hiring for a user interface designer. The role will include working closely with the project art director and lead designer to create a visually compelling and user friendly interface for our games. Some responsibilities include creating wireframes and style guides to prototype and previsualize designs, and providing user interface and user experience expertise.

Qualifications for the position include 2+ years game development experience focused on UI/UX, and expertise in designing and demonstrating user flow.

United Parcel Service (UPS) currently has an opening for an applications developer in its Timonium office.

According to a UPS job posting, this position is part of a team that builds the technology to track and move packages. The person in this role performs duties for full systems life cycle management, including analysis, design, coding and implementation.

Qualifications include experience with agile development, angular, agile and scrum concepts, as well as familiarity with ASP.NET Web Programming, Visual Studio, C# .NET and JavaScript. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline is listed as a preferred qualification.

Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Technology Innovation Center (TIC) has four job openings.

Based at JHU’s East Baltimore medical campus, the TIC is a team of designers, software engineers and product leaders that work with clinicians to bring tech-based solutions into clinical settings. Currently, the team has postings for a senior product manager, two senior software engineers and a data analyst.

Whitebox is seeking a mid-level developer.

On the Technical.ly jobs board, we spotted that Baltimore ecommerce startup Whitebox is hiring for a developer with 2-4 years experience, with specific specialties in JavaScript and NodeJS. The company automates the “millions of steps” that take place behind the scenes in ecommerce. 

Skills for the role include data analytics, user interfaces, database design, API connections and server infrastructure.

Whitebox was voted by readers as the winner of the 2019 Technical.ly Award for Growth Company of the Year. The Baltimore team moved into a new space on Holabird Ave., and has grown to 80 people over the last year-and-a-half.

Enveil is currently hiring for the position of Deployment Engineer.

The Columbia-based company securing “data in use” has an opening for a role which supports deployment and integration of Enveil software, assists customers, leads customers engagements, improves deployment pipeline automation and scaling and builds distributed systems using technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and AWS.

Qualifications for the position include proficiency with Java, C++ and Python, 4+ years of experience with systems administration or engineering, experience with DevOps and a willingness to travel 25% of the time to Northern Virginia and internationally. 

Under Armour is hiring a solutions analyst for product applications.

The Baltimore apparel brand is currently hiring a developer for product applications as a part of its product technology team. This includes developments for product life cycle management, sourcing, merchandising design, 3D and materials management.

The qualifications for the position are a bachelor’s or master’s degree, in an IT-related field, and a minimum 3 years of experience in a development role, ITIL foundations, Agile training or other industry certifications preferred.
