Get the details on Facebook’s #BoostTogether at Hire Bmore

All summer we’ve been following hashtag #BoostTogether (and clicking like), after the news that Facebook announced that it will be bringing digital training workshops to 13 cities, one being beautiful Baltimore.
We followed the thread of emoji-filled comments all the way to Columbus, Ohio, where the program’s goals to offer in-person trainings through a partnership with the National Urban League to 1 million people by 2020 were announced by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg.
Now the team behind the Facebook Community Boost program is looking to spread the word in Baltimore. On Wednesday, October 10, at Creative Alliance, #BIW18 event Hire Bmore will provide a chance hear from and ask team members about the digital skills training workshops planned for Baltimore starting in January 2019.

Facebook Community Boost is a program designed to help U.S. small businesses grow and equip more people with the digital skills they need to compete in the new economy. The Facebook team will be at HIRE Bmore and hanging out throughout Baltimore Innovation Week 2018 presented by Maryland Open For Business. They’re sharing more about the program and giving a sneak peek into the training you can expect in November.
Chris Curtis, an SMB Community Engagement Coordinator on the Small and Medium Business team in Menlo Park, Calif., will be speaking during the event. He focuses on showcasing how small businesses are using Facebook and on helping small business communities better understand how to use Facebook to connect and grow.
Look out for Divya Chopra, Christina Amato and  Janelle Mungo, all Facebook representatives who will also be at Hire Bmore, working the room, trying to help you drive more engagement than your grandma’s posts of her cat sitting like a human.
