With its recent rebirth as a nonprofit organization, Betamore isn’t limiting its focus to the walls of its Federal Hill campus anymore.
“I think I speak for everybody when I say we are kind of big thinkers,” said Betamore cofounder Greg Cangialosi. “So in the future, why can’t there be more than one campus that may be suited towards different members of different constituencies in our community?”
Recently, Betamore CEO Jennifer Meyer and Advisory Board Chairman John Cammack elaborated on the organization’s vision and mission in a conversation with CityBizList founder Edwin Warfield and Technical.ly Baltimore lead reporter Stephen Babcock.
The tech community leaders emphasized the following key points about where the organization sees itself fitting into Baltimore’s tech, ecosystem:
- Connecting the region’s innovation community
- Broadening education programming
- Addressing the skills gap between what’s needed and what universities provide
