Who’s making moves?
As Technical.ly Baltimore reported this week, publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt bought Curiosityville, a Cockeysville early childhood edtech startup. All Curiosityville employees will stay in the startup’s Baltimore County office.
The marketing and web design firm Groove, based in Little Italy, acquired nearby Oomph Marketing, as Technical.ly Baltimore reported Tuesday. Oomph founder Ray Bularz will stay with Groove as director of brand strategy.
Charles Village-based GiveCorps was acquired by the nonprofit Network for Good. The Washington, DC-based organization received $10 million to make the purchase from investors including Baltimore-based venture capital firm Camden Partners, GiveCorps CEO Vince Talbert and former AOL chairman Steve Case, The Baltimore Sun reports.
