Online television livestreaming service Aereo became available to pre-registered users in early December, as Technical.ly Baltimore reported.
On Dec. 16, it will be open to sign-ups from new users in Baltimore city and across 10 counties in central Maryland, including Baltimore County, according to a press release. Aereo founder and CEO Chet Kanojia will be demoing the technology at Columbia TechBreakfast on Wednesday.
Subscriptions to Aereo, which allows users to watch television on their mobile and tablet devices, begin at $8 a month.
