3D printing, modeling at Towson Object Lab [VIDEO]

Additive manufacturing, better known as 3D printing, has taken root throughout Baltimore city in a number of different makerspaces, and Towson University's Object Lab is one of them.

There are about seven different 3D printing technologies, according to Jan Baum, the director of the Object Lab at Towson University.
Additive manufacturing, better known as 3D printing, has taken root throughout Baltimore city in a number of different makerspaces — not to mention Fab Lab Baltimore on the edges of the city in Catonsville — and Towson University’s Object Lab is one of them.
Earlier this month, the Alliance for American Manufacturing visited Baum at the Object Lab published the first part of its video interview with her on its website. It’s a good primer on what 3D printing, 3D scanning and 3D modeling are.
