The global mobile advertising company Millennial Media will acquire San Francisco-based Metaresolver in an all-cash deal. Metaresolver is “a privately held mobile media buying and targeting platform,” according to CityBizList.
Millennial Media also posted a Q4 profit of $2.6 million, reports the Baltimore Sun.
On the year, however, the Canton-based company that went public in March 2012 lost $6.2 million. Millennial had posted losses in the second and third quarters of 2012 immediately following its $1.8 billion IPO.
Undoubtedly, Millennial Media is one of the success stories to come out of Baltimore city’s tech community. Problems with limited parking along the Boston Street corridor in Canton, however, could push Millennial Media to relocate its offices outside the city.
According to the Sun, Millennial Media “expects revenue for the first quarter of this year to range from $48 million to $50 million, and $270 million to $280 million for the full year.”
