Mind Over Machines, an IT consulting firm with offices in Owings Mills and Bethesda, has acquired The Seva Group, a fellow IT consulting firm with offices in Brewers Hill in Baltimore City, according to a press release from Mind Over Machines.

The merger of the two companies makes Mind Over Machines one of the biggest IT consulting firms in the Mid-Atlantic, said CEO Tom Loveland, a player in this city’s tech community. In late September, it was Loveland who helped organize a meeting of startup founders and tech leaders out of which came a blueprint for Baltimore city’s “digital roadmap.”
According to the release, Loveland “retains his role as CEO of Mind Over Machines. Chris Long, formerly president of The Seva Group, becomes executive vice president and a shareholder of Mind Over Machines.”
