Maryland’s tech education effort does not compute [Baltimore Sun]: “CS is taught under a patchwork quilt of policies that compete and conflict with one another. Instruction omits critical content, often tailored to applications without the foundational science.”
Vorbeck Materials sets up new location in Worcester County [The Dispatch]: “Headquartered in Jessup, Vorbeck specializes in and holds the exclusive license for ‘graphene,’ a graphite-based nanomaterial that is only one atom thick that holds the potential to spark huge strides in several aspects of modern technology, from computers to cars and everything in-between.”
Technology allows employees to work outside the office [The Gazette]: “Even as technology and other innovations are transforming the modern office — with more open office models and individual work spaces shrinking — more employees simply are leaving the office entirely.”
