Next Saturday the Brooklyn Public Library will hold a panel discussion, talk and… silent dance party?

The event was put together by the makers of the Our Streets, Our Stories podcast, which records the stories of senior Brooklynites who share their memories of what their neighborhood was like growing up, or when they moved here, or how it’s changed over the years.

The event, called “BKLYN Amplified: The Silent Listening Experience,” will feature Katie Halper, of the radio show and podcast The Katie Halper Show.

Following her talk will be a “silent dance and listening party.” According to BKLYN Amplified, “DJ Michael playing the podcast mix on the 1s & 2s. Powered by Quiet Events Headphone Party.”

We’re unsure if that means people will be dancing while listening to a podcast on headphones or what but really that mystery only serves as more reason to check this out.
