This Week in Jobs Pittsburgh: Sweating in sweaters

Can I get that pumpkin spice latte iced?

Hi! You’re reading the Pittsburgh edition of This Week in Jobs (TWIJ), a weekly newsletter written by our team at Technical.ly in partnership with InnovatePGH and the Pittsburgh Innovation District. Each week we put together for you a slate of news and fresh job opportunities in the ‘burgh. If you’re not already subscribed, you can do so here.

Just when you thought it was safe to stow away those acid-wash jorts, temperatures skyrocketed last week. That’s only the 10th time since 1875 that we’ve seen such heat this late in the year. For those of you who spent the time sweating through your autumnal apparel to take advantage of Pittsburgh’s all too brief fall, we salute you.

It’s that sheer force of will, the dabbing off sweat from the brow while pumpkin picking or ordering your seasonal spiced latte “hot” in direct sunlight, that’ll make hiring managers stand up and take notice. So park your parka-clad, pumpkin-loving self in front of your laptop and check out this week’s jobs.
