Y Combinator, the big-name West Coast accelerator, is coming to Philadelphia next week to meet prospective portfolio companies. They’re hosting office hours on Jan. 22 on Penn’s campus.

Philly has just a handful of YC alumni: Tesorio, whose team is split between Philadelphia and Silicon Valley; Prayas Analytics, which moved to New York; and Zoomer, which is based at the Navy Yard.
PennApps organizer Pulak Mittal also did a stint working with YC president Sam Altman. He’s part of the reason that YC came to town in the fall of 2014.
But it’s cool, feels like YC is catching on that real startups are coming out of Philly.

Companies: Zoomer / Tesorio / Prayas Analytics
