VAYA Pharma recently relocated from the University of Maryland BioPark in Baltimore to Columbia.
The biotech company is a subsidiary of Israel-based Enzymotec Ltd. VAYA Pharma develops lipid-based medical foods, which are used to manage nutritional imbalances associated with diseases, including ADHD.
The company moved to the BioPark in 2016. The move came amid growth as the company sought a bigger space, said Chief Financial and Operating Officer Eyal Hen. VAYA Pharma now has 15 employees in Baltimore, and a total of 70 in the U.S.
Our strategic location within the University of Maryland BioPark gave us access to a diverse group of biotech leaders and resources, which really helped propel our growth and drive success,” VAYA Pharma CEO Rob Crim said in a statement. “We are excited about the move to Columbia, as we are committed to staying in Maryland, which is a hotbed for biotech and life science innovation.”
The new office is within a building at 10480 Little Patuxent Parkway.
