Looking for a fun, family-friendly and free way to spend a Saturday? New Castle County is holding Anime Day at The Art Studio in Wilmington on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Described as “a bento box–sized, family-friendly, anime and manga convention,” the event will feature local artists sharing their anime- and manga-inspired work, workshops, and a reading room where you can explore manga.
The Art Studio, located at 310 Kiamensi Rd., is the fine arts education center of New Castle County’s Department of Community Services, offering a variety of arts classes and programs in 2D and 3D art, jewelry, stained glass, photography, textiles and more.
If you haven’t been to the Art Studio, Anime Day is a good way to check it out. The 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. event is free and open to all ages.
