A coworking cat cafe is raising money on Kickstarter

Charm Kitty Cafe is coming to Hampden.

It’s great to have other people around while coworking. But, admit it. Sometimes it would also be nice to have cats around.

That’s the idea behind a new project in Hampden called the Charm Kitty Cafe.
The cat cafe, which will be in the Whitehall Mill development, is currently raising money on Kickstarter. Actually, it’s raising a lot of money, easily surpassing its $5,000 goal in a couple of days. They’re offering supporters early access, and a chance to join the newly formed Baltimeow Club.

Cat cafes invite folks to come in and snuggle or play with cats. They’re for when you need that meow time.
This space will also have a way to get work done. In one break from the usual cat cafe model, coworking members at Charm Kitty Cafe will have unlimited access to the space when it’s open.
And there will even be an option to take the cats home. The owners are partnering with the Baltimore Humane Society. That means the cafe will double as a foster home, with all of the cats available for adoption.
The Kickstarter says it is aiming to open in the second of half of 2017. We’ll be ready to add it to the list.
