New Economy Collaborative of Southwestern PA

A $62.7 million Build Back Better grant will fund economic development in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region, bringing new skills, jobs and commercial tech to the scene.

The New Economy Collaborative is organizing the effort via five distinct projects, all involving major players in the 11 nearby counties, including Pittsburgh. The projects include: small and medium enterprises robotics adoption, robotics manufacturing hub, expanded pathways to new economic careers, the Robotics Factory and expanded pathways to entrepreneurship.

Technical.ly will spend 2024 and 2025 highlighting graduates from the program, and its impact on the local economy.
