In this space, it’s take your child to work day — every day

We’ve all got our roles in life: children play while parents work. But because the contours of the workday are becoming blurrier, those two callings sometimes clash.
Now, a dance studio in Clarendon is opening up its space to parents who want to do a few hours of work with their children nearby.
“We’ve decided to focus on a market that we think is underserved, which is parents,” explained Rachael Galoob-Ortega, also known as Saphira, the owner of Saffron Dance.
In May, she decided to make dual use of sections of the 4,000-square-foot building in which she runs the studio and is putting together an online dance class platform.

Cowork Coplay offers a range of prices, depending on the number of children parents have in tow and whether they chose to share their hours with their colleagues. (The baseline is $8 an hour for coworking and $15 an hour for child care.)
Professional babysitters are in charge of the children, who must be registered in advance for two-hour sessions, and up to four hours a day.
The decor is “kitschy chic,” and coworkers are required to take their shoes off inside, said Galoob-Ortega.
