How NOAA defines risk during a heatwave

We’re on the brink of a major heatwave. How severe will it be? That depends on the temperature (which will near 100 degrees), but also factors like the population not being acclimated to higher temperatures this early in the summer.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration created a tool to help you prepare this summer.
