In the large open floor plan of Emerging Technology Center’s new space on North Haven Street, more than 160 job seekers met with 20 local hiring companies at NET/WORK, a local tech jobs fair last week organized by Technical.ly Baltimore.
With openings from project manager to PHP developer to web development instructor, the crowd of seasoned developers, new-to-the-scene technologists and university students had their share of employment options to choose from.
Attendees were also given the opportunity to learn more about trends in dev languages Ruby and JavaScript from software engineers at Staq, get a crash course introduction to the Baltimore tech community from Betamore‘s CEO Mike Brenner and grab a free professional headshot from To Tony Productions, sponsored by Tenable Security Network.
Thank you to all who participated and made this event an exciting success for the Baltimore tech community. We also wanted to again thank our partners and bigger sponsors, who helped make this event awesome:
- Tenable Network Security: Sponsor of the To Tony Productions professional headshot booth where attendees got free headshots by local photographer Daniel Hess
- Emerging Technology Center: Our host for the day and generous pizza sponsor.
- Staq: Partner who led both development workshops, which were packed with eager learners.
- Betamore: Mike Brenner, CEO of Betamore, who led the Intro the to the Baltimore Tech Scene presentation.
