Baltimore’s most complex challenges demand fresh perspectives and cross-sector collaboration. At 34 E 25th street, SocEnt Baltimore is cultivating a shared workspace that engages a diverse community of change makers and fosters collaboration. The space provides members the opportunity to interact with peers, pitch ideas, and learn from the work of others. By aggregating the ideas, capital, skills, and connections that social ventures need to thrive, 34 E 25th is cultivating some of Baltimore’s brightest leaders and innovators.
An Ecosystem for Social Innovation
Since 2012, SocEnt Baltimore has provided programing support to 500+ social innovators through breakfasts, collaborative strategy sessions, networking events and co-working days. To build a supportive ecosystem for social innovation, SocEnt Baltimore prioritizes:
1. Programming: Workshops, incubators, and events designed to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and start-ups, established social enterprises, funders, universities, institutions, and neighborhoods.
2. Workspace: Inspiring work and event space to serve existing and emerging social ventures. Improving efficiency and creating conditions for ideas to thrive and collective identity to emerge.
3. Coordination: Purposeful collaboration across sectors and between all segments of the ecosystem. Strategy development and advocacy to build capacity and accelerate ideas.
The shared office at 34 E. 25th social innovation community. In addition to engaging social innovators through daily use and special events, the office serves as a platform for partnership with neighborhood organizations and institutions. It accommodates up to 30 coworking members and provides meeting and event space to host the larger community.
