If you routinely host a game night among friends, you might soon be able to add some Wilmington flavor to your evenings. This Kickstarter campaign is for a “cooperative roguelike adventure” board game for 1-6 players called Maximum Apocalypse, and it comes from Rock Manor Games.
A board game company named after the Rock Manor in Wilmington, Del.? That’s fantastic.
Rock Manor Games was founded by Mike Gnade. The company has a well-respected board game to its credit already with Brass Empire, a game that carries a solid 7.3 average rating on BoardGameGeek. No doubt, that reputation for making a quality game transitioned well to this Kickstarter effort. That and the fact that Gnade’s been bringing Maximum Apocalypse to conventions in the last year to build hype.
As of publish time, Maximum Apocalypse is at $10,049 pledged of its $14,700 goal spread over 240 backers. It has 29 days left in its campaign, so it seems like Gnade’s next is set to go into stretch goal mode with its funding.
It hasn’t announced their stretch goals, but the campaign indicates that they intend to have them once it’s fully funded. You can check the campaign and back it for yourself right here.
