Alliqua, a Langhorne, Pa. biotech company focused on wound care, raised $1 million from Boston-based Crossover Healthcare Fund, according to a release.
Chris Sugden, managing partner at Edison Ventures, was named the New Jersey Technology Council‘s John H. Martinson Technology Supporter Award, according to a release.
Robin Hood Ventures led a $1.25 million round in ecommerce company Peeractive, a former DreamIt Ventures company that recently relocated to New York City, according to a release.

WHO’S GETTING BUZZ?
Curalate won the Startup Spotlight at ad:tech New York, a marketing and technology conference, according to AllVoices. The Center City visual analytics firm also recently did a study that found that blue photos get more likes on Instagram than red photos, The Next Web reported.
WHO’S MAKING MOVES?
ToonUps, a Wayne-based digital entertainment company, will make a donation to the CURE Foundation if the video below gets one million views. The money will “allow ten children to walk for the first time,” according to a release. ToonUps has 18 full-time employees, a spokeswoman said.
