The Advertising.com Group, the Tide Point-based advertising arm of AOL, has acquired Silicon Valley-based Buysight Inc.
Buysight Inc. “specializes in targeted advertising tailored to consumer interests,” according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
Perhaps more interesting is the Baltimore Business Journal‘s reporting that advertising sales are keeping AOL “stable” and “financially sound”:
During the third quarter, AOL reported $340 million in advertising revenue — a 7 percent increase over last year’s third-quarter advertising revenue. Although AOL lost money from subscriptions this time around, it managed to keep its total revenue on par with last year’s third quarter earnings at $531.7 million. [more]
