Coworking is coming to Fells Point in September.
Set to open the first of the month, 716 Broadway sits on South Broadway just a block up from the square in Fells Point (and directly next to the Greene Turtle). It joins several other coworking spots downtown, including Canton’s Beehive Baltimore, Capital Studios in Little Italy and the soon-to-open Betamore in Federal Hill.

Contact 716 Broadway for more information on coworking there.
The new Fells Point space is owned by John Richardson and Doug Hardester, the men behind e-commerce solutions agency Swank IBS.
“I was tired of being stuck in a basement,” says Richardson, 28, who lives in Locust Point.
Richardson says 716 Broadway is for “people who want to go into a coworking environment to work with others, but they want to get their own work done.”
In other words, he and Hardester designed the space so there’s no fear of long tables with no partitions being converted into Octagons for ping pong-playing programmers.
Ten five-foot wide desks each with their own dividers fill a second floor, along with two smaller desks for people who have purchased flex time at the space. On the third floor is a makeshift conference room with several tables and a small kitchen.
Three payment plans are currently offered, including a flex-time plan for $25 a month that gets people one-day-a-week access. For $295 a month, full-time members get their own dedicated desk and have access to the building 24 hours a day, seven days a week, while $195 a month gets part-time members access three days each week. A $15 fee per day is charged for any additional time flex- and part-timers require.
