Millennial Media reported a loss of $1.8 million in Q3 against $47.4 million in revenue.

The loss of $1.8 million, or about 2 cents per share, is less than the 4 cents per share Wall Street analysts expected, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

The Baltimore mobile advertising firm reported a loss of $1.8 million, or 2 cents per share, in the quarter. That compares with a loss of $242,000, or 9 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter. [more]

Revenues in Q3 this year compared to last year are up from $25.2 million in Q3 of 2011.
The Canton-based mobile advertising firm announced its $1.8 billion initial public offering in March 2012.
