This Saturday night NYC Resistor is gonna be lit… by lasers.

(Ugh, sorry!)

The Downtown Brooklyn hackerspace is throwing a Halloween party. DJ Smokey will provide the music and Interlock Ness Monster will perform a laser light-show.

“NYC Resistor was originally inspired by Chaos Computer Club in 2007 and we were the first Hackerspace to form in NYC,” according to the org. “During the last 10 years we’ve grown and evolved, both as a group and physical space. Come find out what we’re all about and raise a glass to new and old friends!”

NYC Resistor has really gotten into the season recently, with its weekend pumpkin-carving workshop.

Tickets are $8 and will include free drinks. Costumes are encouraged but if you’re shy it’s OK, you don’t have to!
