Have the most beautiful stoop pumpkin in the neighborhood after this workshop at NYC Resistor on Sunday.
“Our annual pumpkin art extravaganza is happening this weekend!” according to the organization. “BYOP (Bring Your Own Pumpkin) and we’ll help you trick it out with LEDs, some fancy carving techniques like using dremels and maybe even our laser. If you can think of it we can help you make it!”
NYC Resistor is a community hacker space that’s been around for years and years and is based in Boerum Hill (founding members include a young Bre Pettis and Nick Bilton). It holds workshops regularly, such as “How to program your plants to text you when they need water” and they have a yearly show of cool stuff that’s been made, which is always worth checking out.

If you can’t make the pumpkin workshop, they’ve got a whole bunch of other programming coming up, including Laser Cutting on Saturday, a Halloween party on Oct. 28 and an Intro to Arduino class on Nov. 28.
Tickets for the pumpkin workshop are $10 and it’s BYOP!
