Hero Digital, the customer experience agency with a handful of offices around the country — including a Philly office in Manayunk — announced Wednesday it acquired San Francisco-based Clock Four, a 50-person agency, in a bid to serve the consumer financial and B2B sectors.
No financial terms of the deal were immediately disclosed, but the company’s CEO Jon Eberly will join Hero as executive VP.
“Being an important part of a fast-growing agency with an exceptional reputation like Hero will enable us to do more of what we do, at scale,” Eberly said. “We absolutely share the view that the market needs a next generation experience agency that delivers more effectively than the holding companies, the consultancies, and our other legacy competitors.”
The acquisition will add companies like US Bank, Juniper Networks and Veritas Technologies to the company’s client roster.
“Clock Four’s deep expertise and relationships in the consumer financial and B2B technology sectors will strengthen and expand our practices in these rapidly evolving industries,” said Hero Digital CEO Dave Kilimnik. “Together we are committed to delivering impactful results and solving our clients’ largest customer experience challenges.”
Hero Digital first got on the Philly radar in 2017, after acquiring Manayunk’s customer experience firm Delphic Digital. In May of this year, it also acquired Center City’s MaassMedia, a 15-person boutique analytics doing data work for ESPN, Lenovo and the Flyers.
Upon the acquisition of Delphic, Philadelphia was billed as the company’s East Coast hub. Currently, Philly is home to just over a quarter of its workforce: 67 employees, out of a total headcount of 272, are Philly-based. Aside from its two main strongholds, the company also has hubs in Seattle, New York and Dallas.
