WordCamp Baltimore at Maryland Science Center: Pack your juiceboxes, WordPress developers. The first official WordCamp Baltimore is a day-long series of sessions on all things WordPress: mobile design, making WP development a career, SEO optimization and more. WordPress for Dummies author Lisa Sabin-Wilson delivers the opening talk. Saturday, Sept. 8, 8:30 a.m. Maryland Science Center, 601 Light St., Inner Harbor, Baltimore city 21230. Introduction to CCBC’s Fab Lab: Curious about how a vinyl cutter works? Tired of printing everything in two dimensions? Have no idea what a ShopBot is? This three-hour course at the Community College of Baltimore County will prepare you to manufacture and fabricate without losing a finger in the process. The Fab Lab housed at CCBC is a “high-tech workshop” open to the public. Take the intro course, then show up during open hours and get to building. Monday, Sept. 10, noon and 4 p.m. CCBC Fab Lab, 800 S. Rolling Road, Baltimore County 21228. ENROLL.
