Under Armour is soliciting ideas from engineers and software developers on how to expand the uses for its Armour39 digital performance monitor, a module device that plugs into a chest strap that then wraps around a person’s torso, and tracks a person’s heart rate, among other measurements, via smartphone app.
It’s offering $25,000 to the grand prize winner.

According to the Baltimore Business JournalUnder Armour “wants to enhance the Armour39 so that it can provide competitive analysis, exercise identification, cardiac assessment and other measurements that will help athletes improve and track their fitness.”
