Theatre N’s first video game night announced: Rocket League on the big screen

What a save! What a save! What a save! What a save!

This. Is. Rocket. League. (Screenshot from developer)

After telling us about it back in January, Robert Herrera and The Mill‘s Theatre N are set to host their first video game night. Herrera told us that they’re working with Scott Shaw from Wilmington University to make this happen.
The event kicks off on April 6, 2017, and the first game is Rocket League. Glorious, addictive Rocket League. It’ll run from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Theatre N on the big screen. This is a BYOC (bring your own controller) event, and the gameplay will go down in three vs. three single elimination rounds.

In January, Herrera pitched the idea of these regular game nights. “Can you imagine people driving down from Philly or in from Wilmington U? To come here for events like this?” He was excited then, and that enthusiasm’s carried forward.
Rocket League, for those who are unaware, is a game that pits teams of three against one another. You control race cars, and the aim is to bounce a giant ball into your opponents. It’s soccer with R/C cars, basically, and it’s become one of the hottest games of the modern era in the last two years.
