We want to hear from you: Take Technical.ly’s quick community survey

You could win a hoodie and event access — plus get the warm and fuzzy feeling of helping local journalism improve.

Across the decade and a half we’ve been reporting on local innovation, there’s been one single most important ingredient: you.

Everything we do is for and with our readers, our community. Technical.ly’s journalism celebrates, explains, connects and holds accountable the tech and entrepreneurship scene in the places you live. As we prepare to celebrate our 15th anniversary, we’re hoping you’ll take a few minutes to help make this work even stronger.

The 2024 Technical.ly Community Survey is now open.

  • What’s a trend or subject you’d like to see our reporters cover?
  • Would you prefer more longform journalism or shorter reports that capture more news?
  • Has a Technical.ly story or event made an impact in your business or career?
  • Are you missing us on Twitter — or is LinkedIn where you mostly interact?

We want to know.

The survey has about two dozen questions, and most are multiple choice, so the whole thing should take less than seven minutes. There’s also plenty of opportunities to enter notes or explanations if you’d like to go deeper, and we’d love to have that feedback.

But you don’t have to spend a lot of time. What’s key is just filling it out.

🏆 Responses can be totally anonymous, though if you provide your email you’ll be entered to win a sweet Technical.ly zip-up hoodie (it’s the comfortable kind, so you might never want to take it off) and a ticket to Philly Tech Week’s Signature Event in May.

Whether you’re a new reader or have been on these pages since the 2010s, a veteran of your industry or still working your way in, a native of your home city or a newcomer exploring your adopted home — we want your input.

What’ll really help our news organization and make our product better is getting responses from all these kinds of audience members.

Take the survey

We’ll report back results on Founder’s Day, Feb. 9, when we’ll commemorate 15 years of publishing Technical.ly.

Your input will help inform what we focus on across our organization, a nimble collection of teams who work in half a dozen locations around the US to advance our vision that innovation should come from anyone anywhere — to ensure all communities thrive.

In the meantime, join us on the journey by subscribing to our newsletters, following us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, or joining our active Slack community. Thanks for being here.
