A new coworking space called Spaces is opening in Center City

In early 2018 there will be yet another entrant to the Philly coworking ecosystem.

Quick heads up: looks like there’s one more entrant to the already bubbling coworking ecosystem in Philadelphia.

Spaces, an Amsterdam-based subsidiary of global shared offices company Regus, just leased 37,735 square feet of space at 13th and Chestnut (that’s “Midtown Village” for all you real estate aspirants out there). The space is slated to open in the first quarter of 2018, with CBRE arranging the deal.

The spot will be located inside the Hale Building (1326 Chestnut St.), which is currently being renovated and restored by Brickstone Realty. Designed by Divine Lorraine architect Willis G. Hale in 1887, the mixed-use building will have six floors of office space and two floors of restaurant and retail options, as well as a spiffy rooftop deck.

Spaces, which has over 60 locations around the U.S., Europe and Asia and was acquired by Regus in 2015, also splashed down in D.C. with a 23,000-square-foot location announced earlier this year.

What can we expect from the Philly iteration of Spaces? Peep the Media tab on the company’s Twitter account to see what you were likely expecting already: sleek furniture, exposed ducts, hardwood floors and motivational quotes.

After all, Spaces is the admittedly “cool and hip” alternative to Regus’ more conventional private office offering for globetrotting execs. See ya soon, Spaces.
