Polish up those pitching skills: It’s time to audition for ‘Shark Tank’

Auditions for the ABC show are happening June 28 at XFINITY Live!

C’mon, admit it: If you’re a startup founder, you’ve thought about what your Shark Tank pitch would be like.

For some Philly entrepreneurs, like PiperWai’s founding duo or Scholly’s Chris Gray, the dream came true and eventually yielded some exposure. (Gray’s startup soared on the App Store after the show aired, while PiperWai was able to secure some lucrative retail deals for its charcoal-based deodorant.)

And on June 28, at XFINITY Live! Shark Tank producers will be in our fair city looking out for Philly participants for the reality show, which is in its ninth season. The first 500 aspiring contestants to show up with a completed application form between 9-11 a.m. get to pitch the Shark Tank casting team.

The audition sesh will be hosted by Comcast Business.

“We are always excited to visit cities across the country in our quest to find promising entrepreneurs with great ideas,” said Shark Tank Executive Producer Clay Newbill.  “I believe that great entrepreneurs are all around the U.S., and they just need an opportunity to pitch their idea, so we look forward to traveling to Philadelphia.”

Companies: Scholly / Comcast
