Philly’s RevZilla lands top spot in Fortune’s ‘Best Workplaces in Retail’ list

Out of the countless retail companies across the country, the best workplace environment you can get (among small and medium-sized firms) is based at the Navy Yard.
Online motorcycle gear retailer RevZilla was named No. 1 in Fortune’s roundup of The 15 Best Workplaces in Retail, climbing up from last year’s ranking on the same list at No. 5. (It’s the only Philly company on the list, but Altoona’s Wawa-rivaling Sheetz got a shoutout in the large company category.)
“People care about each other here,” an employee testimonial quoted in the Fortune article reads. “Employees are treated with respect, acknowledged, and given every single opportunity to further themselves both personally and professionally.”
It’s no shocker that employees rave about the fun work environment. You’ll remember, back in May, the company celebrated its 200th hire with this hoopla:

“What sets us apart from other companies is that we care deeply about the RevZilla experience both outside and inside the company,” cofounder and CEO Anthony Bucci said in a press release. “The fact that we have moved from the fifth to the #1 best medium or small place to work in retail is a testament to our commitment to ensuring our employees feel they are a part of a supportive, mission-driven and fun working community.”
