How Philly’s tech scene can stand out on a national stage

That's what we're talking about at Wednesday's Tomorrow Tour kickoff event.

We at Technical.ly are about to embark on a tour of tech scenes across the country: Denver, Miami, Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta. It’s called the Tomorrow Tour, sponsored by Comcast NBCUniversal, and we’re kicking off the tour here in Philadelphia Wednesday evening at the University City Science Center’s Quorum, from 6:00-8:30 p.m.
On the Tomorrow Tour, we’ll be talking about how local tech scenes can stand out on a national stage, even as all cities grow their own next-generation economies. Phrases like “The next Silicon Valley” or the “Silicon Valley of X” are not part of this conversation.
At the kickoff, we’ll talk about Philly’s emerging pillars of tech and entrepreneurship. We wrote about the region’s strengths — health IT, civic hacking and diversity — here. So study up.
The free event is at capacity right now but email events@technical.ly to be added to the waitlist.
