This Monday: How can Philadelphia lead the country in health and sciences innovation?

The Sciences track is the newest on our block but no less active than the others. We’ve dedicated some serious coverage to the petri dish that is Philadelphia’s sciences sector. Take a look if you missed it.

Philly Tech Week 2017 presented by Comcast is offering the opportunity at an afternoon of engagement offline. Technical.ly’s The Future of Health Sciences conference will highlight Philly’s healthcare technology path by sharing what we’ve already tackled and our game plan for the next steps!

This event is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 1, 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Public Health Management Corp., Centre Square East, 1500 Market Street in the lower mezzanine. Tickets are $10.

We’ve invited some of the folks we’ve profiled on Technical.ly for an in-depth panel conversation to tackle the turmoils of tomorrow. They’ll share what current health technologies they’re working on and what innovative ventures are being pursued to fill in the blanks. It’ll be moderated by Technically Philly Lead Reporter Roberto Torres.

Lilypad presented by professors Gabriela Marcu and James Connell

• A real-time decision support system for behavioral health providers.

ImmERge Labs presented Alfredo Almodovar

• A virtual reality sudden cardiac arrest training system to improve bystander response during emergencies. It is an immersive, multisensory (audio, visual, tactile) VR system.
