Care about the sciences in Maryland? Come to this #BIW16 event

On Monday, Sept. 26, join Technical.ly for the Baltimore Innovation Week Sciences Conference at the University of Maryland BioPark.

The University of Maryland BioPark.
Maryland, with Baltimore as its once and future crown jewel, has a serious footprint in the business of science.

Better leveraging the strengths of Johns Hopkins University (and those of its students) and the University of Maryland, among other campuses, dominated the conversation at last year’s Baltimore Innovation Week. So at Baltimore Innovation Week 2016 presented by 14 West — already surging toward us with a Sept. 23 start date — we’re taking the sciences head on.
Earlier this year, we began more rigorously reporting on the sciences here, launching its own coverage category. Now at #BIW16 — the big, Technical.ly-organized open calendar of events celebrating innovation — we’re introducing the Sciences Conference.
The BIW track will feature a half-day of free programming at the University of Maryland’s BioPark. The day will also be supported by 14 West, Kaiser Permanente and Hopkins’ FastForward accelerator program.

There will be a curated roundtable discussion, presentations from local science leaders, a networking reception and other programming during the day. Register, and get it on your calendar below. We’ll see you then.
