The waiting list is no more.
Old City coworking space Indy Hall had a waiting list of about a dozen people who wanted to become full-time members. Since late 2012, it had been growing faster than it was shrinking, said Indy Hall head Alex Hillman.
After the six-year-old space expanded last September, it was finally able to accommodate the extra members, Hillman said. Indy Hall now has more than 250 members. What’s next for the N3rd Street stronghold?
“Our #1 goal for 2014 is doing more together outside of the walls of Indy Hall,” Hillman wrote in an email.
That means the return of the N3rd Street Farmers Market and more Indy Hall Arts programming.
Indy Hall is a working on a few projects in the expanded space, including building a communal, standing-desk “work bar.” The community is also diversifying: Indy Hall has seen more and more women signing up, as well as non-tech people, Hillman said.
Meet some of the members of Indy Hall in this weekly podcast.
