Here’s to some forward-looking tech news: In December, Paul Singh’s $50 million Crystal Tech Fund officially doubled in size.
“The original vision was to build a magnet for the best tech companies and the resources and investors who can help them grow,” said Singh, one of the most successful VCs in the country, in a release.
He founded the ambitious fund in April, and it’s already become one of the driving forces behind the emergence of Crystal City as a place of interest for tech-related enterprises.
The space will now be hosting Innovacorp, an early-stage venture firm from Halifax, Nova Scotia that’s backed by the Canadian government.
The firm will work to “identif[y] entrepreneurs and companies who can optimize exposure to the greater D.C.’s unique mix,” according to the release.
Halifax-based engineering company, QRA Corp, has been selected for funding.
Disruption Corporation, the company that runs the Crystal Tech Fund, is also welcoming new coding classes run by the Iron Yard.
