Cofounder of 410 Labs Dave Troy was among those in the Startup Maryland delegation that presented its case for governmental support of entrepreneurship in this state and the nation last week at the White House. His chief clarion call on Huffington Post is for entrepreneurs to pursue “original ideas”:
Consumer-facing, peer-to-peer commerce start-ups are hot, but how many tie-sharing services does the country really need? … [H]arder problems like truly innovative biotechnology and next-generation manufacturing cannot be incubated in a few weeks by Red Bull-drinking, Ramen-eating young programmers.
