The Cybersecurity Association of Maryland has a pair of new board members.
Silent Circle CEO Gregg Smith and EZShield VP of Technology Darrell Laffoon were elected to the board of the organization, according to a statement. Elected to a second term was Karen Austin, publisher of United States Security Magazine.
The organization also named new members to its executive committee including Edwards Performance Solutions CEO Gina Abate as vice-chair and Exelon Corporation Director of Operational Technology Spencer Wilcox as secretary. Point3 Security CEO Evan Dornbush and Seculore Solutions CEO Tim Lorello are also on the committee.
Formed in 2015, the ETC-based trade group looks to grow Maryland’s cybersecurity sector. A directory provides visibility and the potential for companies to attract business from others seeking to get their security needs met, while events provide a chance for entrepreneurs to connect.
