If you’re ready to take the plunge and finally get your feet wet with coding, check out Girl Develop It’s all-day class Saturday at the Horn Program’s Venture Development Center.
The intro course will cover all the basics of HTML and CSS to help you start developing your own website.
Elizabeth Cottrell will be the instructor, and she began coding with Girl Develop It Philly in early 2015. Because of what she learned, she made a career change. She now works full-time as a front-end developer — and she’s looking forward to helping other women through GDI Wilmington.
Here’s what you need to attend:
- Your laptop.
- Either the browser Chrome and the Web Developer extension or Firefox and Firebug installed.
- A text editor. Organizers recommend Sublime Text 3 or Atom.
The class, which goes from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (and includes a 30-minute lunch break) costs $80.
