Foster.ly, Adam Zuckerman‘s for-profit D.C.-based company that’s attempting to bridge the gaps among startup communities in Virginia, Maryland and the nation’s capital, is hosting an education-focused Study Hall at Georgetown University on Thursday.
Register for the Foster.ly Study Hall here.

It’s the first Foster.ly-U Study Hall — and a collaboration among several universities, including the University of Maryland, College Park — and a chance for education-technology startups to cowork and hack together.
Of course, Baltimore could make a case for playing host to the next Foster.ly-U Study Hall, as the city boasts a number of edutech startups. There’s Course Canary, which puts together online surveys for professors, Common Curriculum, which is ensuring that teachers will never need to use Post-It Notes again for lesson planning, Curiosityville and the Digital Harbor Foundation, now turning traditional eduction on its head by insisting students use technology to score themselves paying jobs now. (As opposed to … after they’ve left college.)

Companies: Fosterly / University of Maryland, College Park
