The sprint of a hackathon can leave promising projects hanging around until the next time you can gather enough pizza-loving coders for a weekend-long event.
See unfinished projects from Hack for Change Baltimore.
But for civic hackers in the city, a new monthly civic hacking Meetup organized by gb.tc invites coders and “do-gooders” to bring incomplete and fresh civic hacks to a group setting. It’s something like the brigades of monthly hacking meetups that volunteers organize under the Code for America banner in other cities (no official word yet if Baltimore will host this year fellows from the year-long local government technology fellowship program).
The inaugural meeting takes place June 27 at BTS Software Solutions in Federal Hill.
