Mark your calendar and set your DVR to record The Walking Dead premiere, the OpenBracket 2017 finals will be Delaware’s biggest coding competition yet, with $100,000 in prizes up for grabs (that’s double last year’s pot).
The competition will be held on Oct. 20–22 at The Queen. Thousands of the country’s top coders competed in the online trials on HackerRank last month; the top 100 from that pool will go to the finals.
While it may be too late to qualify to compete in the finals, OpenBracket is an event in itself — with entertainment, networking and a general good time for both competitors and non-competitors.
OpenBracket was launched in 2016 by Wilmington-based investor and Zip Code Wilmington cofounder Ben duPont, with partners including Downtown Visions, First State Innovation, 1313 Innovation, Accelerate Delaware and, once again, us at Technical.ly Delaware.
