The Inc. 5000 list, a directory of the country’s fastest-growing private companies, was released Wednesday. Browsing through it we found more than a few names in there from our dear Philly tech scene.
Topping the ranking of Philly-area tech companies is GLOBO, an online translation services company based out of Fort Washington, Pa., which landed at No. 118 thanks to a whopping 2,844 percent three-year growth rate.
“We are thrilled to share this recognition with our customers, partners, employees and our world-class linguists,” said GLOBO CEO Gene Shriver.
At No. 267 is CRM Science, a Devault, Pa.-based CRM Salesforce dev shop. According to the Inc. list, the firm grew a whopping 1,493 percent over the past three years. Founder Ami Assayag was loving the good news on Twitter:

Arcweb Technologies followed closely at No. 290 marking its first-ever entry on the list, with a growth of 1,354 percent.

The Old City-based product design and development shop was ranked No. 5 among all Philly companies.

Lamps.com CEO Anthony Balsamo told Technical.ly he was thrilled that his Center City-based ecommerce company made it on the list for the second year in a row, this time landing at No. 622
Downingtown’s Bolt On Technology, makers of auto shop management software, landed spot No. 646 on the list, its first-ever inclusion.
Torchlight Technology Group, a Center City-based online marketing company founded in 2009, was ranked No. 735, falling more than a few spots from its 2015 ranking at No. 371.
Coming in at No. 880, and cracking the top-20 among companies based in Philadelphia at No. 19, is Tonic Design, another Old City-based company in the digital services space.

Also featured in the list among Philly-area companies was Tabula Rasa HealthCare, sitting across the Delaware River in Moorestown, N.J. The health IT company got a spot on the list at number No. 1020, posting a reported three-year growth of 388 percent. Looks like that big IPO certainly didn’t hurt.
Trailing by a hair at number No. 1073 was Haddonfield, N.J.-based Redline Automotive Merchandising, the makers of a snazzy software solution for auto dealers.
Back in Philly, Kensington-based Tembo was awarded spot No. 1142. The data services company, which mainly services education orgs scored No. 23 within companies in the ed space.

Heading north to Horsham, Pa., cybersecurity firm Swain Techs landed at spot number No. 1207. According to the ranking, the firm grew 324 percent over the past three years.
Exton, Pa.-based IT consultancy firm Techwave Consulting, which has consistently been featured by Inc. since 2012, once again made it on the ranking, landing at No. 1675.
TargetX, a Conshohocken-based CRM company focusing on the higher education space, also managed to get on the list thanks to a 217 percent growth since 2013. The five-time list honoree was awarded spot No. 1714 on this year’s edition.
FluidEdge Consulting, a Malvern-based IT consultancy focusing on the healthcare and life sciences space, came in at No. 1876.
J2 Solutions, a King of Prussia, Pa.-based IT consulting firm, scored spot No. 1894 on the list, marking the third year in a row the company got featured by Inc.

Another healthcare-focused IT company, Greenphire, was featured in the list at No. 1949. The company, which posted a three-year growth of 190 percent, is based out of King of Prussia, Pa.

Quattro, a Berwyn, Pa.-based digital advertising agency, also landed a spot at No. 2022.

No. 2317 on the list was an ecommerce company out of Northeast Philly called Rush Order Tees. The self-billed “printing geeks” made the cut for the first time.
NoLibs-based online marketing agency Seer Interactive were featured on the list at No. 2688 thanks to its posted three-year growth of 131 percent.
Arriving at No. 2744 was design shop Bluecadet, which made the list for the first time.
Burlington, N.J.-based Bandwave Systems, purveyors of broadband for multi-site businesses, came in at No. 4327.
Wrapping up the Philly tech scene presence in the list was IMS Technology Services, a five-time honoree.
Since 1982, the Inc. 5000 list has been ranking the growth of U.S. companies, using the percentage growth of their annual revenue spanning a three-year period as a bellwether.-30-
