It’s the first week of school. If you have kids, Ben Garvey has a tip.

The RJMetrics developer built an analog, role-playing game he calls Kids Morning Adventure that gamifies getting ready in the morning.

In Garvey’s words:

Kids Morning Adventure is a download and print-out role-playing game. Each day you make an attack roll on monsters you encounter. Your child can attack if they are ready for school by a certain time. If they’re not, they don’t.

Download for $9.99

Garvey, 35, of Collingswood has two kids and said he felt like his “whole morning was spent yelling.” So he tested various games and techniques with his own kids last year and Kids Morning Adventure is what he came up with.
