It’s time to start planning for Philly Tech Week 2019 presented by Comcast. The yearly celebration of all things tech and innovation runs from May 3–11, 2019.

Philly Tech Week 2018 presented by Comcast highlighted some of the most inspired thinkers and industry leaders across seven tracks of curated programming.

Dozens of exhibitors from around the region gave us a glimpse of the future — with cutting-edge technologies and new ways of doing business. Many of the week’s 100 events are free or low cost thanks to the hard work of organizers here at Technical.ly and within the community.

Our annual kickoff event provides a unique opportunity for you to show off your latest product, project or idea to a diverse and curious crowd. This year we’re excited to announce that Old City District will be our new partner for kicking Philly Tech Week off in style: We’re happy to be a part of the First Friday on May 3, with Old City galleries and businesses getting in on the action. Introduced by Technical.ly, now in its second year, returns with the promise of even more quality interdisciplinary introductions. That means everything from engaging demonstrations, outcome-driven workshops and dynamic conversations with speakers and brands you need to know. This thought-provoking programming represents every part of the Philly innovation ecosystem. We’re bringing back “the conference that Philly has been waiting to see,” to one place on one day during Philly Tech Week 2019. This time, get involved early: submit your idea for a session here.

Whether it’s in the lobby of a building you see every day or in an iconic tourist favorite, you already know our Signature Event is Technical.ly’s promise to end the week on a high note for the whole community. Speaking of parties, we turned up the music and creativity this year with an ongoing partnership with the ever-cool REC Philly, developing and shaping a nightlife scene to showcase local musical acts across all genres to the tech community throughout the week. (Oh heyyy, Creative track.) New to this year’s PTW music experience were the three REC Philly Artist Showcases and we collaborated for a second year on a killer Signature Event after-party. The rooftop of Stratus Lounge did not disappoint. REC Philly is back as a PTW partner for Year 3 and we can’t wait to cut all the rugs with you again in 2019!

Mark your calendars and look out for some announcements from our pals in STEM at the Science Festival Carnival on the Parkway and from the Philadelphia School District. We’re organizing a city-wide computer science event likely on May 6 in the expansive Atrium (formerly the print shop for the Inquirer) on Broad Street.

Philly Tech Week 2018 was filled with ample opportunity to explore, learn, discover, play and leave inspired. We hope you enjoyed each exciting moment. Now begins the preparation for 2019, and we look forward to seeing you again May 3–11, 2019
